"TO MY SISTERS IN CHRIST

Sisters, Please hear me and hear me well, not every young man in church, in suit, speaking in tongues is truly going somewhere. I have seen too many unstable, and consequently, unfocused young men in church. They talk the talk, but few walk the walk. Don't be carried away by looks, material things and sweet talks. Listen with the ears of the Spirit. No matter how long you have waited for marriage, DON'T JOKE WITH CHARACTER ISSUES. When a guy comes talking about marriage, tell him you need time to pray about it. And when you leave, GO PRAY. Don't just talk about it. Pray in the Spirit. Ask God to reveal Him to you. And this is what I have found, as you pray sincerely and heartily, the sovereignty of God will prevail upon him to show himself as he really is. And when that begins to happen, don't say, "well, it's a common mistake people make.  Because as that happens, the Spirit of God will draw your attention to them. DON'T IGNORE THE FLAGS. I pray some dangerous prayers for my folks who come to tell me about relationships. Many times, those relationships scatter after those prayer sessions. Even some very close to weddings. Because as soon as we prayed, the storm, rain and flood showed up, and they both realized they were building on nothing. It is better to lose a courtship (not in God's will) than a marriage.
If you catch him telling little lies here and there, don't try to justify by saying, after all "we are all sinners",  NOT TRUE! We are all NOT.

I am saying this as a spirit filled believer, and as one who has been privileged to hear quite some stories, many sad ones too - and as well as being a youth Pastor. Please look beyond packaging. In fact, if the packaging is too much, you should spend some more time enquiring.

Two things will always reveal man's character, PRESSURE & PLEASURE.
Some people will behave well until pressure comes. Others will do so until pleasure shows up.
So shine your eyes. Love is not blind. God is love, and the last time I checked, he doesn't even slumber nor sleep, talk less of being blind.
