The difference between Privacy and Secrecy in marriage and it's effect. By NHN COUTURE

The Fashion mogul and writer shared this on her social media page today. This is a topic some people see as normal especially the Secrecy. Imagine a husband or a wife setting a password for his or her phone. Please what's in the phone? Some men can't even pick calls in the presence of their families. You tell your husband you are going to church and of you go somewhere else. The Bible says when the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do. Please what has happened to the Trust built during the formation of the marriage?

"We hear it continually… “My husband says he needs his privacy” … “My wife tells me that she should be allowed to have some things that are private, away from me.” And to that we say –yes, some privacy can be fine within marriage, but these spouses aren’t talking about privacy, they’re talking about secrecy. That’s a whole different issue. — “PRIVACY is something you ‘give’ someone out of respect. SECRECY is something you ‘withhold’ from one another.” — “PRIVACY is when you want to go to the bathroom or pick your nose without your spouse looking –or try to buy them a gift without them knowing. SECRECY is when you feel guilty about something that you can’t tell your spouse.” — “PRIVACY in marriage is your own personal space. In this, there is trust and respect. The other partner is aware of this space & respects it without intrusion. We all need a little private time to ourselves; otherwise we’d go nuts! SECRECY is destructive in marriage –it’s a lack of trust & respect. This is something the other partner is unaware of, & in essence, it’s a lie. — PRIVACY is having some quality time or spiritual time alone. SECRECY in a marriage can be a form of deceit.” — “PRIVACY is the withholding of info concerning yourself, the disclosure of which would be of no benefit to the partner, & which you don’t wish to share. SECRECY, on the other hand, is the withholding of info that may have an effect on the well being of the partner. This effect may be financial, spiritual, physical, or mental. PRIVACY is acceptable. SECRECY is not.” There IS a difference between giving each other some space & grace in marriage, & withholding info that affects your partner, because whatever affects your partner SHOULD affect you. That’s how God designed marriage to be –“one for all & all for one” –cleaving together “as one.” Secret cell phones, usernames & passwords, not telling your spouse about meeting together or chatting with someone he/she would feel is imposing upon your relationship are just a few of the “secrets” that you should never participate in. Secrets are for single people –not for spouses."

This is for someone out there who is thinking nothing good really happened this year for him

Forget about where you are right now. It worked for your friend and didn't work for you doesn't mean God has forgotten about you. It simply means He is preparing something better for you. Just keep setting your eyes on that dream. Don't ever look down or look back. Keep looking forward. Do what it necessary as a child of God in working towards that dream and allow God to do the rest. Don't calculate for God. Don't figure out how He would do it. By the time He would do it you won't even know. It would be like a dream. Have you forgotten how God turned again  the captivity of Zion? What where they like? They were like them that dream. That is how I want my own to be. And that is how yours too will be like. Just keep setting your eyes on the Prize. You shall succeed. And me too. Yes o. Let me do the prayer for myself too. I can't shout. Lol

There are so many Christians out there that take any little headache as a form of attack. The funniest part is that they begin to point fingers at their relations or even friends as being responsible. If you take out time to ask them the nature of their job, that's when you will realize where their headache is coming from. Even from what they eat. God himself rested after all his creations.  Make it a responsibility to always have a time of rest. Eating healthy food also goes a long way. Exercising is even one of the best cos it regulates the heart beat. Not all food is meant to be eaten. It is not your uncle or aunty that is responsible for that thing at all. Just sit yourself down and plan how to start living healthy. You will see the difference.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode goes tough on child abuse.

When you can't take care of them, why have them?

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has warned all child-centered institutions both public and private, that the state would no longer tolerate negligence in ensuring the safety and protection of children under their care.

The governor who made this known in a statement made available by the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Adeniji Kazeemon Thursday also announced ratification of the first ever Executive Order establishing a Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy in the country.

The statement reads: “Failure to adhere to the content of the policy would warrant significant repercussions varying from withdrawal of licenses to filing of criminal charges due to negligence.” According to him, the policy was designed as a catalyst for driving awareness and commitment of all stakeholders, including every member of the community towards the protection of children.

policy also articulates procedures to be adopted when disclosures of abuse were made while maintaining that the order applied to all state government organisations, all public and private schools, child centred institutions, and orphanages located in the state. “The Executive Order now makes it mandatory for Child Protection policy to be integrated into the induction programme of newly recruited staff into child-centred institutions. As regards employment of staff, it is now mandatory for all child-centred institutions to conduct detailed background checks. “Ultimately, the ratification of this Executive Order would reduce and possibly eliminate incidences of child abuse, establish a culture of early identification of trends and effective intervention to limit the occurrence of cases,” he said.

The governor, however, assured that the state government would in the next coming months strongly drive adoption of the policy to ensure that all child centred institutions adopted and adhered strictly to the provisions of the Order.

Am doing fine, got the car to my office in Ikoyi and getting an Uber home.  My friend/Guitarist @nellyjay62 was with me and helped to handle the situation. 

My heart has been filled with soo much gratitude all day today and I have been sharing this joy every where I went today... Including this program tonight where I told them not to take this moment for granted and just praise God deeply, not knowing this would even happen tonight.

5 People That Must Pray For You

Prayer is important because God cannot do anything on the earth unless someone prays. Prayer is giving angels the permission to bring to pass what God has spoken about you. It's important that you have a consistent prayer life but there  are also certain people whose prayers can influence your entire life as a matter of fact, what they pray is what happens to you in life! Who are these people?

1. YOUR BIOLOGICAL PARENTS: Make sure your parents; your dad and mum pray for you. Isaac prayed for Jacob and sent him away without any inheritance but by the time he came back to his father he had become a very wealthy man. Women don't marry a man your father doesn't support, his blessings are important. Hannah dedicated her son Samuel to God before he was born in the place of prayer and he lived and died as a priest because a mother prayed!
2. YOUR SPIRITUAL PARENTS: If you don't have biological parents that pray for you make sure you have spiritual parents! You need both but if you have spiritual parents who pray for you and whom you honor as parents, your life is settled! The bible says in Hebrews 13:17 (NLT)
Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God.
They watch over your soul, your destiny, your future! Don't joke with your spiritual parents! It's important that you are not a spiritual orphan because there are battles you can't fight on your own.

3.YOUR WIFE/HUSBAND: Make sure your spouse prays for you. My wife and I pray for each other everyday.  You will be spending the rest of your life together and if you are the husband you are now her father and she is now your mother as well, your prayers  carry weight with God. Rebekah was barren for 20 years but when Isaac prayed for her, she had twins!
4. YOUR  CHILDREN : Jesus said that anyone who will see much out of Christianity must trust God like a little child. Children don't see impossibilities and when you show them the ways of God, they will believe what you tell and show them about God. When they pray for you God listens because their faith is intact and simple. The bible also tells us that children have angels who are always in the presence of God (Matthew 18:10). Teach your children to pray for you.
5. INTERCESSORS: Do you know what Jesus is doing in heaven? He is praying for you!
Ezekiel 22:30 (NLT) says "I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn't have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

God wanted to destroy everybody at Sodom and Gomorrah but Abraham interceded for his cousin Lot. Peter was about to be killed but Christians were praying and an angel broke his chains and delivered him. You need people to keep praying for you.
May God give us wisdom to go for these levels of prayers in Jesus name.

The bottom line is to ensure a smooth relationship with these people. Especially with our parents and spouses. These are the people the devil try to turn our minds against. Because he is aware of the convenant blessings.  And don't forget to always pray for yourself as well. In as much as we have all these people to remember us in prayers. There is no prayer as effective as being prayed for oneself. And we should also try to intercede for someone in prayer also. You never know who might be praying for you out there. There is nothing as good as having a personal encounter with God.

The son of late Bishop Benson Idahosa and the present Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University. Also a Pastor and a father of three handsome boys is a year older today. And his beautiful wife took to social media to pen kind words about him. Happy Birthday pastor Feb.

"In addition to being my husband, @febidahosa has been my boss for the last 14 years. I must sincerely say, he is the best boss ever! 

Feb Idahosa is the world's best example of leadership. He provides employment for over 2,000 people (at last count) in Edo State alone.  His businesses and ministry spans the globe and has provided employment for tens of thousands since he moved back home to Nigeria in 1998. He is never late when it comes to paying salaries and makes personal sacrifices on a regular basis, just to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of those working with him. Feb is always honest in his dealings and refuses to take bribes or kickbacks... no matter how big or small.

He is surrounded by some very loyal people who work tirelessly to see his visions come to pass . 

I probably shouldn't mention this, but, often times, people have asked him why a few of his employees have bigger homes than him or drive nicer cars. It isn't uncommon for him to be on a flight, sitting in the economy section, while someone he employs is seated comfortably in business class. I've never once heard him give an answer to someone who asks those questions.  When I question the behavior of some of the people who work with him, he finds a way to treat them with grace and chooses to always believe the best in them. He typifies servant leadership.

Feb finds a way to make each person feel special and important. He communicates openly and freely with his staff at all levels. His communication is always laced with humility and genuine care.  As much as possible, he takes time with each person and is excellent with names and remembering details about their personal lives. 

This is a picture of a gathering of just 75 of our close staff who serve in our immediate departments, personal businesses or home. We hosted them for a morning devotion,  breakfast and Christmas Party this week in our home.

Around May of this year, I presented a seed to Pastor Modele Fatoyinbo and she prayed for me, one of the things she said was that "you will start your line of perfumes". I received that word with my life so I began to contact manufacturing factories in dubai but there were lots of processes involved, it wasn't encouraging. 

Along the way I got the idea for the Sapphire Scents Bespoke which I mix myself and it was doing very well then the idea for the beard oil too and it was also a hit and finally the idea for Sapphire Attar came and it changed Sapphire Scents forever! 

When we presented a Sapphire Scents Bespoke to the Ooni of Ife we were introduced as a made in Nigeria brand but we were not 100% made in  Nigeria. I believe our brand ambassador Chief Balami Isaac was prophetic because it happened shortly after. 

There was also a little anxiety from our distributors because they didn't know if the fragrances would be up to standard but they trusted me and when they smelt the samples, it was an immediate success, a hit from day one. 

Beloved, God will lead you to uncharted territories, He will let you do things you could ever imagine. Do you know this time last year I was still an employee???🙆🙆🙆 and in 12 months I have my own successful brand of perfumes! Whatever God has spoken through His prophet will come to pass in your life, just hold on strong and you will see the power of God.
