The political and economic blogger who has also been a strong supporter of "made in Nigeria products" has just given out a total sum of #2.7million with the aim of supporting small businesses. There were actually some criterias involved which a small business owner must undertake in order to qualify. Congratulations to the participants who qualified. Initially Omojuwa was to give a total sum of #500,000 for this course, but some of his friends and fellow supporters decided to join him in the project with their donations which made the money #2.7million in total. Omojuwa is known to be a man that lends his helping hand even to strangers. He recently solicited for funds in thousands of dollars to a medical student who was about to drop out of school. May God bless him more.

"Job done! The 1st phase of #SBS2017 just ended. I set out to contribute N50,000 each to 10 small businesses but N2.2m unexpected donations later, we will be assisting 35 businesses, getting between N50,000 and N100,000. We have a student a bonus of N30,000 even though she didn't meet up with the instructions because her request of N30,000 was within budget. Some N2.7m in total in the end. We will not only support these businesses with cash, they will get media support from @thealphareach amongst other forms of support from other donors. This is the beginning of a revolution and I will be counting on some of you for us to do this again within the half year. Let us make change happen wherever we can! N50k in your hand may be another vodka bottle but it is a seed for business for many people. We can do more! #MadeInNigeria #Entrepreneurs #SmallBusiness #MoneyMakers #SBSChallenge"
