There was a time it seemed so lonely in my walk. Nobody around me understood me. I wanted to express myself the way I was inspired. My line of inspiration was unusual, I wasn't sounding like a regular gifted person should sound. I wasn't using the popular lines people in my immediate environment used. Not because I deliberately wanted to be that way, but because the things that come into my head from my heart are just like that!!! I was odd. Very very. And so I was despised. Not liked. Disregarded. My own wilderness experience! 

I was praying. I really prayed. Ha, I prayed. Fasting, biribiri fasting o! Because I knew, still know, that GOD must have a reason for making me that way! I am not a mistake. The things in my head are not against GOD,  just that my people hadn't heard it that way before. I felt discouraged, but hope kept me on. HOPE!!! Then something happened that made some things happen! I don't know how. I cannot even remember many things now. Some things sha happened. In levels, processes, phases. And here we are. Emi ree o!  And things are still happening, still in levels, processes and phases. (The "there" of now cannot be compared to the "theres" that we look forward to!) Be encouraged! Shebi it seems you're having no result now, abi? It looks like nobody wants to listen to you or consider your own ideas. Nobody even 'loves' you! They don't even appreciate all your efforts. You've prayed and prayed, keep on. You're fasting, keep on. You've tried to make them see. You're angry sef. You're faithful and obedient, keep on. Be passionate. Be encouraged. Be focussed. Be diligent. Be excellent. As you keep on, adjusting the adjustable, growing and getting better, adding to knowledge, being sharper in the "spiri" tins, something shall happen that will make some things happen! Iwo gan a gba! 😀

An instagram user shared her story of Thanksgiving after God blessed her with a beautiful daughter having been married for 19 years. I just have to celebrate with this woman. Congratulations in a big way.

Nathaniel Bassey shares about Sexual sin, guilt and relationship with God

"SEX AND WORSHIP

There's is a connection between sexual purity and a healthy "life of worship and time of worship". First, worship has to be in the beauty of Holiness, that is, holiness of heart, mind and body. In motive and action, because God is Holy.

That's the reason one of the biggest hinderances to true worship is sexual immorality. You must understand that a sexual activity is in itself an act of worship. In fact, it is the earthly parallel of our spiritual and highest form of relationship with God, worship.

Many of you would agree with me on this, if you are a Christian, I mean, A born again Christian, who loves God and eschews evil, you would have noticed that worshipping God  becomes difficult after you fall into a sexual sin. Note, I said sexual sin, as this may not only be limited to just sexual intercourse with the opposite sex. Because sexual sin is one that not only involves your body, but you mind and Spirit.

In fact, you may have cried and repented, and God being who He is will always forgive, but you would notice having that sweet fellowship and communion becomes a struggle for some time. You know why? Because the soul which is the seat of our feelings and emotions was disturbed and corrupted. And while God has forgiven the you, you nonetheless enter into a struggle within you. Deep in your soul, which is now grappling with a NEW personality. What is referred to as a soul tie. I'm not talking about people who are habitual sexual sinners here, who have learnt and mastered the act of shrugging off any feeling of conviction, because after a while their conscience become insensitive and unresponsive. If you are here, please run back to Jesus quickly. I'm talking of sincere lovers of God who have made mistakes or have struggles in this area, and battling to be free.

Have you ever wondered why the scripture urges us to FLEE when it comes to sexual sins? The reason is not far fetched.

But here is the good news, there is a way out. JESUS. The blood of Jesus is available to set us free. And as we make a choice to live in holiness, God's grace comes to strengthen. But we must make a choice and decision as free moral agents.

An Interesting reminder to the Penniel Ladies in the house

That was how I was on my own one day and I saw a video where ladies were asked who to choose between a Keke guy that had hopes of a future and a G wagon guy that would beat them in marriage. See me thinking these ladies won't fall my hands o. Only for out of about 7 ladies, it was just one that chose Keke man. Chei. That was the day i received a big blow. I was so disappointed. Some said they would rather prefer to be beaten and enjoy the G wagon. Looks like some people haven't seen money before and they dare not touch. Imagine seeing the G wagon, living in the mansion and the man makes life so miserable for the woman that she can't even enjoy the car nor even sleep in the mansion. May God renew some ladies mind. Amen. 

That moment Segun Obe thinks the Police Officer was coming for his arrest

Well Muyiwa Ademola who is presently vacationing in Houston Texas met the man of God and the man of God handed the cash to him and afterwards, telling him the Holy Spirit also directed he give a car to Muyiwa. That was how God just ordered Muyiwa's step to his blessing.

"Snoop showed us that behind that disability is a champ dog" Let's learn from the story of Betty Iraboh's dog

The Genevieve Magazine publisher shared the beautiful story of her dog whom despite  its disability went ahead to break barriers.

This is Snoop..he is blind but..

He is 70 dog years old but 10 human years old. He went blind in one eye early last year and lost the other eye in December. We noticed he was bumping into things and then it dawned on us that Snoop had lost both sight. He was traumatized and so were we . My natural instinct was to have him put down so he didn't have to suffer. But to our surprise Snoop began to navigate his way around effortlessly as if he was always blind. He was blind but didn't lose his vision. We were amazed at this come back dog.

Only less than 6 weeks Snoop is back to being the the old rascal and the very territorial dog he always was... That's life for us! It isn't what happens to us in life that is the tragedy, it is how we react and the choices we make thereafter.. Snoop wasn't about to let us put him to sleep.., he showed us that behind that disability is a champ dog. This is me and Snoop at his den on my way to work.

You cannot sack who you did not employ - Bishop David Oyedepo

The Bishop and also president of the Living Faith chapel worldwide otherwise known as Winners Chapel said this during the 21 days prayer and fasting programme going on presently at the church. He said in his words "the government had no business with when a prophet begins and ends his ministry. You cannot make decision on how long a prophet of God should lead when you were not even there when the commission started, you did not employ him, how beit then you can sack him"
The Bishop also encouraged the church to continue to intercede for the country in this tough times.

It was gathered that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God had to step down due to the Corporate Governance Code that was introduced but had now been suspended.

Nollywood actor Tonto Dike who recently found Jesus apologizes to her colleague Mercy Jonhson

I will always say to people that if you haven't been in a shoe don't try and judge or condemn someone else presently in that shoe.
It could be recalled in the year 2013 after the birth of Mercy Johnson's first daughter Purity in the US,  she decided to come back to Nigeria to continue with her career 4 months after birthing Purity. But her colleague Tonto Dike wasn't comfortable with Mercy's decision by coming for her on Twitter. Tonto claimed Mercy's husband pushed her back into acting because they were broke. Though Tonto didn't mention anyone's name but so many believed she was referring to Mercy Johnson and Nigerians came for her on Twitter. But she yet replied again that Mercy was trying to use her as a come back saying that she should go ahead and nurse her "witch dam...".
Soon after Mercy was interviewed and she claimed it was a friend of hers that informed her about the twitter rant asking her friend if her name was mentioned, and the friend said "No". Mercy stated in her words "I am a moving train by the special Grace of God in heaven. I will continue to do good for myself and my fans who have stood by me all these years. I have no beef with nobody. I am a cool person and I hate and fear troubles. I always pray for those that wish my downfall ".

Scam alert!!! Pastor E. A Adeboye dissociates himself from social media accounts

I'm so happy that Baba clarified this issue himself. I'm sure some people can relate too. Imagine a prayer request that says if you don't type "amen"  in the next 15 mins, something would happen. Or if you don't share another thing will happen. But why are people like this. They would even use recent pictures of Baba Adeboye and ask you to type Amen.  Please are those ones really Christians. They would also display a picture of Baba praying on mobile phones. Lol. Wonders shall never end. And the funniest part is the way the information travel far. You try and go under the comment section and you be seeing something like 2.2k comments. It is well.

Ali Baba ready to sponsor some women for IVF

Remember the advise given to women who are "waiting on God"  by Ali Baba yesterday . Well, we have some good news. Though IVF procedure is actually quite some money Baba of Comedy Alibaba has decided to put smile on faces of some couples by sponsoring three women to go through IVF procedure.  Though it would be coordinated through Nordica Fertility Clinic as our big Bros is not a fertility doctor. Lol. But this is really thoughtful of him. You can imagine the kind of prayers the beneficiaries would be praying for him. It would be a forever and ever prayer. A man of good deeds he is.

"So I was thinking... after a successful #january1stconcert and #january1stAwards... beyond the car gift and support for fashion... what if we support 3 couples who have decided to do the IVF but can not afford it? And with God's blessings, they could just be proud parents on or before the next #january1stconcert 2018... so I got talking with @olori_ranti_ajayi and @nordicalagos. They agree it's doable. I will fund 3 of such couples but if anyone is moved we could add couples to the #FirstFruit project for the #january1stconcert phenomenon. The MC and TV host shared the throwback earlier today with some words of advise.

The picture on the left was taken some 17 years ago, while the right was taken in 2015. 

The MC shared that the moral of the throwback picture is to inspire someone out there, that no matter the field you are in, just keep keeping on. He says it might be rough and tough, critics will talk, you will doubt yourself but all you need to do is just keep your focus on your craft and your God. He said success is never a walk in the Park. Stating that sweat,  tears, and sometimes blood are essential sacrifices. 

He advised that the more you horn your craft, the better it gets and the easier it all seem.

Coolest Bishop. See the throwback picture of Bishop T. D Jakes and his wife

The Bishop of Potters House who also is Pastor, author, filmmaker and not forgetting he is also a talk show host shared this beautiful throwback photo of himself and darling wife Pastor Serita Jakes.

According to the Bishop, the picture was taken when he was 26 years old. Wow. And today makes it 33 years after. Do the calculation yourself. He also said as at the time of this picture, he never had a clue of what God was going to do. He encouraged that with God, your future is better than your past. 

Of a truth, my future is better than my past. 

As a gentle man, what would you say to him?

Honestly it could be so annoying at first sight. But do you really need to spill out to him about his manners? Yes o. There are actually some people that need to be reminded. Do you know this guy might not see any big deal in it. He might simply tell you "I was just stretching my legs" Lol.

If it was my seat, I'll  just look straight into his eyes, point my fingers towards his legs. Shikena. Power of action. I don't need to talk. 

Why did God give knowledge to fertility doctors? Ali Baba advises women trusting God for the fruit of the womb

This advise came as a result of a video reposted on Ali Baba's social media page. The video which featured a happy and jubilating woman appreciating God for the success of her IVF as it turned out positive. I don't want to share the video because it's very sensitive. The woman also prayed upon her stomach that she will not miscarry the child. And we join her in prayers by saying AMEN. And we also use this medium to pray for anyone trusting God for this kind of miracle. You shall also dance and we will celebrate with you in Jesus name.

Having a child is a beautiful experience. What I find hard to understand is how some people will tell you to wait on the Lord. There is nothing wrong in waiting upon the Lord. I just have an issue with how they see medical assistance. They believe going to see a fertility doctor is going against the will of God. Why did God Give the knowledge to the fertility doctors? When you get a cut on your hand and it's bleeding, do you go on your knees and start to quote scriptures? Of course not. You try to stop the bleeding and follow up with medical help. That is what science and medicine is about. The almighty God has given the wisdom to make our lives better by putting people in positions to help us out when we have issues. Do you kneel down to pray that you want to go to the UK and God should come and physically transport you? No. You get up buy a ticket and go to the UK. Let me get back to Medical issues. When you have appendicitis, and your stomach is hurting, do you not take it out? Of course you do. God has fashioned that women have children through natural birth. But when there are complications, don't we do CS? Do you know how many pastors today were born through CS? Do you know how many of their kids were products of CS? So why do many of our ladies fail to take advantage of divine knowledge that can help them be mothers? This is exactly why I don't understand how some people will say my pastor is praying for me while I am in God's waiting room. Trust me, some men of God know more about that waiting room than the congregation and they have gone to the other room. In 2010, my friend was being convinced by a friend to do IVF somewhere on Tiamiyu Savage. She didn't want to, but reluctantly went. Fortunately for her, she met her pastor's wife there too. Waiting to be attended to. God has given her a set of twins now. Since 2014. It doesn't make you less of a Christian if after an accident, you drive the victims to a hospital instead of a church. God has sorted that out. God will work through the hospital. Same thing applies with fertility. So, in conclusion, to all waiting to be mothers, you will give birth and nurse your babies. In Jesus name.

What is Marital Faithfulness?

"Marital faithfulness involves more than just sexual fidelity. Being faithful to your wife also means defending her and affirming her beauty, intelligence, and integrity at all times, particularly before other people. Faithfulness to your husband means sticking up for him, always building him up and never tearing him down. Marital fidelity means that your spouse’s health, happiness, security, and welfare take a higher place in your life than anything else except your own relationship with the Lord."

For me Marital Faithfulness is when you are  watching telemundo and husband comes knocking for a favour and you get up immediately to do the favour. It is also when husband is seeing ManU against Chelsea match and the wife asks for  help with their baby's need in the middle of the match the man gets up immediately to render such help. LOL. Marital Faithfulness is when you are present at your daughter's class presentation rather than be somewhere else not important.  It really goes beyond having an extra marital affair. That phone, that friend, that your sister or your brother, those your colleagues you hang out with after work at the expense of the quality time you should spend with your family. Its all part of being unfaithful.

Bishop T. D Jakes pens farewell message to President Barack Obama

The outgoing president who is the first black man to be elected president of the United States of America having been in office since 2008 and had served two terms since elected gave his presidential farewell speech few hours ago back at his home town in Chicago. Thanking all Americans for making him a better President and a better man. Also stressing out the fact that we are all created equal, endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He went further to appreciate his wife of 25 years for her support.  Amidst tears, thanking her for taking up a role she didn't ask for with grace and grit and style and good humor. Also saying that she made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. Appreciating her for being his best friend of 25 years.  With so much love for his children Maria and Sasha, he said of all that he has done in this life, he is proud to be their dad.
The whole world will miss him though.

"Many years ago I stood with my father and watched Dr King deliver his famous "I have a dream" speech. 

I never realized that I would grow up to see our nation's first African American president! My father never knew that his son would be asked eight years ago to have the extreme honor to deliver the sermon of his inauguration. 

Since then we have laughed, debated tough issues, and prayed together on multiple occasions. 

Tonight as I listened at his farewell speech, I had to express with pride and respect my appreciation for all I know he endured. He has carried himself with a dignity and resolve that defies duplication! As we come to the close of an era, I want to say thank you Mr. President for taking on an often thankless job. 

You modeled fatherhood, mastered the art of a husband, and lead us through eight years of unbelievable turbulence! We are grateful for your service to our country, to our people, and to this generation!

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) thanks President Buhari for firing Jim Obazee

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has hailed Jim Obazee’s removal as executive secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC).
He was fired by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night.
Speaking to NATION, Musa Asake, general secretary, of the organisation said: “The sack of Jim (Obazee) is good riddance to bad rubbish. Anybody that wants to fight the church will find himself where he does not want.
“Jim got to the position by the grace of God, but set out to probe and destroy the church of God. I spoke with him several times on this issue but he wouldn’t listen. He was going to take the church to what is worse than Armageddon.
“Thank God the authorities have stepped in to right the wrong. He should have been fired a long time ago and we don’t know why he was left alone, but God’s time is always the best.
“That code should be thrown out completely because government should not interfere with the church. The church is a no-go zone for the government.
“Doing that has serious implications. If they attempt it, it will lead to confusion in the nation.”
Femi Emmanuel, senior pastor, Living Spring Chapel International, Lagos, said: “It is a right step in the right direction. Government has no business meddling in the internal structure and governance of the church.
“There is no government in the world that does that.
“Anyone who does that is incurring the wrath of God. Yes, there could be financial regulation of churches but never in the internal structure of the church.
“Everything that has to do with the internal structure and governance of the church must be expunged from the code.”
Obazee, a former pastor of the RCCG, said only 89 of the 23,216 registered churches in the country had complied with FRC provisions.
The leadership of CAN has slated an emergency meeting on the FRC code and other related matters.
Samson Ayokunle, CAN president, said the organisation’s lawyers would review the issues and make their position known to the public.
Ayokunle spoke through Bayo Oladeji, his media assistant.
“CAN will react at the right time and make its decision public. We are studying the situation. CAN leadership will meet. Our lawyers are studying the situation,” he said.

Pope Francis encourages Nursing mothers to breastfeed in church.

Virgin Mary nursed Jesus. So why shouldn’t women feel comfortable breast-feeding their children in the church?
Pope Francis conveyed this message in a ceremony in the Sistine Chapel on Sunday, reiterating his support for breast-feeding in public — and inviting women to nurse their infants in the sacred space adorned by Michelangelo’s masterpiece.
One by one, the pope baptized 28 children — 15 boys and 13 girls — pronouncing each of their names in the annual ceremony marking the day in the liturgical calendar when Jesus was baptized. As several babies began crying in near-unison, Pope Francis joked that “the concert has begun,” the Associated Press reported, adding that perhaps Jesus’ first “homily” was his crying as an infant.
He then encouraged the mothers in the chapel to feel free to nurse their infants.
“The ceremony is a little long, someone’s crying because he’s hungry. That’s the way it is,” the pontiff said.
